SBI Clerk and PO syllabus 2026

Called Numerical Ability in the clerk prelims and Data Analysis & Interpretation in the PO mains:

• Simplification and approximation
• Number series and quadratic equations
• Data interpretation: tables, pie, bar and line charts, caselets
• Arithmetic: percentage, ratio, average, profit and loss, simple and compound interest
• Time and work; time, speed and distance; boats and streams; pipes and cisterns
• Mixtures, ages, partnership, probability, permutation and combination, data sufficiency

In the prelims and mains; the mains add computer aptitude:

• Puzzles and seating arrangements
• Syllogism and inequality
• Coding and decoding, blood relations, direction and distance
• Order and ranking, alphanumeric series
• Input–output, data sufficiency, statements with assumptions and conclusions

Mains only:

• Current affairs of the last 6 months
• Banking and financial awareness: the RBI, monetary policy, banking terms
• Government schemes, the Union Budget and the Economic Survey
• Static GK: important days, awards, books and authors, sports

Mains only, inside the reasoning section:

• Computer fundamentals, hardware and software
• Operating systems and MS Office
• Internet, networking and computer security
• Memory, input and output devices, abbreviations and shortcuts

30 marks in 30 minutes, typed, after the PO mains:

• Email writing (one of two options)
• Situation analysis (one of two options)
• Report writing or précis writing (one of two options)
