The TNPSC Group 4 hall ticket for the 2026 notification (No. 11/2026) has not been released yet. When it comes, it will be online only, through TNPSC's apply portal at tnpscexams.in (the link on tnpsc.gov.in leads there too), not sent by post: you log in to your One Time Registration (OTR) dashboard and enter your application number and date of birth. In the last three Group 4 cycles the hall ticket came out 10 to 13 days before the exam, according to news reports at the time. The exam for this notification is on Sunday, 10 January 2027, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
When will the TNPSC Group 4 hall ticket be released?
There's no date in the notification. All it says is that the hall ticket (its term is "memorandum of admission") will be on www.tnpscexams.in to download and won't be sent by post (Notification 11/2026, para 8.1).
Past cycles give an idea:
Group 4 cycle | Hall ticket out | Exam | Days before |
|---|---|---|---|
2022 | 14 July 2022 (reported) | 24 July 2022 | 10 |
2024 | 27 May 2024 (reported) | 9 June 2024 | 13 |
2025 | 2 July 2025 (reported) | 12 July 2025 | 10 |
2026 (Notification 11/2026) | Not announced | 10 January 2027 | – |
This year's Group 2/2A preliminary hall ticket kept to the same rhythm: it came out on 21 October 2026, for the exam on 1 November (reported by Careers360).
If the gap repeats, the hall ticket would come out in the last days of December 2026. That's a pattern, not a promise, and only a TNPSC press release fixes the date. It won't come before applications close (5 November 2026) and the 9–11 November correction window ends.
TNPSC Group 4 hall ticket download: step by step
You use the same OTR account you applied with. TNPSC's notices for the 2025 Group 4 and 2026 Group 2 hall tickets describe this route, as reported:
Go to tnpscexams.in.
Log in to your OTR dashboard with your OTR login ID and password. New to OTR? See our One Time Registration guide.
Open the hall ticket link for Combined Civil Services Examination – IV (Group IV Services).
Enter your application number and date of birth, exactly as in your application.
Download it and print it. You won't be allowed to write the exam without the printed hall ticket, and phones are banned in the hall, so the printout is the only copy that counts.
Your application number is on your application printout. Forgot your OTR login ID or password? Use the Forgot options on the login page; our OTR guide walks through them.
What is on the hall ticket, and what to check
Your hall ticket has your photograph, name and register number, the exam centre and venue, and the date and session. Your OMR answer sheet on exam day comes pre-printed with the same details. The hall ticket also lists instructions, and the notification says you have to follow every one of them.
Check these the moment you download it:
The photo. If it is missing, unclear or doesn't look like you, bring a passport-size photo pasted on plain paper with your name, address, register number and signature, plus copies of the hall ticket and your ID, for the Chief Invigilator to countersign. You also show your original ID to the room invigilator and sign an undertaking that you are the genuine candidate.
The venue. It will be in one of the two district centres you chose, or a nearby centre if those are full; candidates with a benchmark disability choose one centre and are placed there. You can't change it, so plan the journey well before exam day.
Your name and other details. If something is wrong, contact TNPSC before exam day (contacts below).
After the exam, keep the hall ticket for good. TNPSC may ask for it later, suggests keeping a photocopy, and doesn't issue a duplicate. You'll also need the register number on it to check your result.
Hall ticket not downloading, or no hall ticket at all
Check what you typed. Use your Group 4 2026 application number, not an older one, and your date of birth as in the application.
Try again later. The portal is often slow in the first hours after release.
Still nothing, though you applied? Contact TNPSC (below). A hall ticket doesn't confirm eligibility, though: TNPSC admits candidates provisionally on their application claims, checks them at certificate verification, and can reject a candidature at any stage.

Exam day, 10 January 2027: the timeline
From Annexure IV of the notification, the instructions to candidates:
Time | What happens |
|---|---|
8:30 AM | Report at the venue (one hour before the start) |
9:00 AM | All gates close; be seated in your room; OMR answer sheets are handed out |
9:15 AM | Question booklets are handed out |
9:30 AM | Exam starts (long bell); a short bell rings every hour |
12:20 PM | Short bell: 10 minutes left |
12:30 PM | Exam ends (long bell) |
No one may leave before the end, and anyone who comes with you waits outside the venue.
What to carry, and what is banned
Allowed inside the room: your printed hall ticket, a photocopy of one ID (Aadhaar card, passport, driving licence, PAN card or voter ID) and a black-ink ballpoint pen. Nothing else. Carry a spare pen, and your original ID in case of the photo problem above.
Banned, even switched off: mobile phones, smart or digital watches, watches or rings with memory, smart glasses, Bluetooth devices, cameras, pen drives and any other electronic device. Also banned: books, notes, loose or rough sheets, log tables, mathematical and drawing instruments, wallets and handbags. TNPSC can't promise safekeeping, so leave your phone at home. The notification bans digital and smart watches by name and allows only the pen, the ID copy and the hall ticket in the room, so leave even an ordinary watch at home unless your hall ticket's instructions say otherwise; a bell rings every hour and 10 minutes before the end.
Water, tea, coffee, snacks and soft drinks aren't allowed in the exam room. Medicines can be kept on the invigilator's table with the Chief Invigilator's consent. You may be frisked. Anyone found with a banned item is not allowed to write the exam, and also faces invalidation of the answer sheet, debarment or rejection of candidature. Having a phone or any other electronic device inside the exam room means a permanent ban from TNPSC exams (Annexure IV, 1.10.6).
OMR sheet rules that cost marks
A slip on the OMR sheet can cost marks, or the whole paper:
Black ballpoint only. A pencil, or any pen other than a black-ink ballpoint, invalidates your answer sheet.
Check the sheet before you write on it. If the pre-printed photo or details are wrong, tell the invigilator at once. A sheet is never replaced after use. If you are given a sheet without your printed details, write your register number carefully: a wrong register number on such a sheet costs 2 marks.
Check the question booklet before 9:30. You get it at 9:15; make sure every question is printed before you write its number on the OMR sheet. A defective booklet is replaced only if you report it before the exam starts.
One bubble per question. If you shade two, that answer isn't evaluated.
No bubble left blank. Shade [E] if you don't know the answer. Each blank costs 0.5 mark from your total. Then, if every one of the 200 questions has a bubble shaded (an [E] counts), shade "Yes"; otherwise shade "No" and write the number of questions you left blank in the box provided.
Question booklet number. Write it and shade its bubbles exactly. A wrong, missing or out-of-series booklet number invalidates the sheet.
Sign it and put your left thumb impression in the box. A missing thumb impression costs 0.5 mark; a missing signature invalidates the sheet.
Don't mark answers in the question booklet. Ticking answers in the booklet leads to rejection of your candidature, so you can't note answers there to check against the key later.
No crossing out and no remarks. Crossing out Part I or Part II, writing irrelevant remarks or tampering with the barcode invalidates the sheet, and so does a completely blank OMR.
TNPSC has a video on filling the OMR sheet. Watch it, then practise the habit: 200 answers in 180 minutes, every bubble filled.
After the exam: answer key and result
TNPSC puts the tentative answer key on tnpsc.gov.in (Recruitment → Answer Keys) within six working days of the exam, and you can challenge it online, not by post or email, within seven days. An expert committee settles the final key before the papers are evaluated. For the result, certificate verification and counselling, see our Group 4 result guide.
Use the weeks before the hall ticket
About ten weeks remain, and one full paper under real timing teaches you more than one more chapter. Sit our Group 4 model question paper in one go, then mark it. After that, keep practising against the clock: Thervu's Group 4 mock tests are timed, in Tamil and English, and marked the moment you submit, and the questions you get wrong come back in your revision queue. For dates, posts and selection, see the Group 4 notification 2026 and the TNPSC Group 4 exam guide.
Only TNPSC's own site has your hall ticket. Thervu is independent of TNPSC and can't download it for you.
Frequently asked questions
When will the TNPSC Group 4 hall ticket 2026 be released?
TNPSC has not announced a date. In the 2022, 2024 and 2025 cycles the hall ticket came out 10 to 13 days before the exam, as reported at the time. The exam for Notification 11/2026 is on 10 January 2027.

A photocopy of one of these: Aadhaar card, passport, driving licence, PAN card or voter ID, along with your printed hall ticket. Carry the original too: the invigilator needs to see it if the photo on your hall ticket is missing or unclear.

What if my photo on the hall ticket is not clear?
Take a passport-size photo pasted on plain paper with your name, address, register number and signature, plus copies of your hall ticket and ID, to the Chief Invigilator, who countersigns it. You show your original ID and sign an undertaking.

No. You must write the exam at the venue printed on your hall ticket. TNPSC does not allow a change of centre or venue.
